Summer arrives on the streets and squares of all districts with cultural and leisure activities to spend summer afternoons. The main stages where the activities will take place: the gardens of Can Sumarro and the Tecla Sala Cultural Centre in District I; the Marquesa Park in District II, Plaça de Maria Artigal, Can Trinxet, the Alhambra Park and Plaça dels Veïns in District III; the La Bòbila Cultural Centre, the Plaça de la Carpa, Plaça de la Bòbila, Plaça de la Llibertat and Plaça d’Eivissa, Avinguda de la Primavera, the “Blocs Florida” and the open area of the Les Planes Park in Districts IV and V, and Bellvitge Park and the Cultural Centre in District VI.

The gardens of Can Sumarro are a good setting for astronomical observations and scientific conferences around the planet Mars and the existence of Martians; to see them up close it is essential to attend the workshop to know how to build rockets. There will be a whole day dedicated to caravans, carts with tents, and stories, magic and circus on 7 July. There will also be family zumba sessions (28 July).

You’ll be invited to discover the secret garden hidden in the Marquesa Park in Collblanc-la Torrassa, a garden with music, performing arts, monologues and proposals of various styles to make the senses fly. Performances by the EMMCA pop-rock groups (July 9); the duo David Gnaposs & Paquito Sex Machine Groove (July 16) and the flamenco fusion of Kejaleo (17 July), among other proposals.

Can Trinxet will be the scene of the tribute to the more than 1,500 women who worked in the factory by women workers in the world of culture. The performance of the Balkan Paradise Orchestra will take place on 20 July, consisting of 11 women wind and percussion instrumentalists who share a passion for the Balkan tradition, as will the show Violetes, a multidisciplinary circus cabaret of women who want to give visibility to the figure of the woman in the context of the circus.

The music goes up to the roof of the La Bòbila Cultural Centre to celebrate the 25th anniversary of La Universal, with performances by La Maravillosa Cabeza Parlante and Ovvo (3 July). The circus and cabaret complete the Summer offer in Districts IV and V.

Bellvitge Park hosts the folk concert of El Sac Volcànic (2 July) and the flamenco singing and dancing of the La Lunares amb Pureza Company, the new show by the young stars of flamenco dancing in Bellvitge (9 July). The cycle of rap concerts with Urban Skills (3, 10 and 17 July) will be held on the same stage.

The activities will respect the sanitary measures marked by PROCICAT at all times. There will be a registration of attendees at the entrance, it will be mandatory to use a mask, maintain interpersonal distance and use hydroalcoholic gel.
