L’Hospitalet is almost totally flat and offers green spaces, like the banks of the Llobregat River, and wide, quiet avenues, like Granvia Sud. If you are looking for a hilly running route, the best bet is to go to the Montjuïc or Collserola mountains. Here are three very different options for a run starting from our city.
This route follows the Llobregat river to the sea.

End point: El Prat beach
Route: Bellvitge Hospital, dirt trail towards the Llobregat river, footbridge crossing the river, dirt trail on right side of river, agricultural trail, Cal Lluquer. Natural Spaces of the Llobregat Delta Information Centre, Bunyola Canal on the left bank, Bunyola viewpoint, Llobregat River mouth, Bunyola Canal on the right bank, El Prat Airport viewpoint, passage under the South runway of the airport and El Prat beach.
This route takes you up the Montjuïc hill. It also takes you by emblematic places, such as the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Stadium and Montjuïc Castle.

Starting point: Plaça d’Europa in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
End point: Montjuïc Castle
Route: Plaça de Europa, avinguda Joan Carles I, carrer Botànica, carrer del Foc, carrer Jocs del 92, carrer Polvorí, avinguda de l’Estadi, avinguda de Miramar, carretera de Montjuïc and Montjuïc Castle.

Route: Plaça de l’Ajuntament, carrer Xipreret, carrer Riera de l’Escorxador, carrer Reforma, avinguda d’Álvarez de Castro, carretera de l’Hospitalet, parc Can Mercader, roundabout, carrer Miralta, carrer Estronci, parc de Can Buxeres, palauet de Can Buxeres, carretera d’Esplugues, avinguda Can Serra, parc de Can Cluset, parc de Les Planes, avinguda d’Isabel la Catòlica, avinguda Josep Tarradellas i Joan, rambla Just Oliveras, carrer Major and plaça de l’Ajuntament.
