The ceremony took place at Diversus restaurant and was attended by Núria Marín, the Mayor of L’Hospitalet; José Antonio Alcaide, the Councillor for Tourism and Economic Promotion; representatives from the participating establishments; and the panel of judges who awarded the prizes.

The winning dishes for this year’s edition were as follows:

The panel of judges that delivered the verdict consisted of Carmen Alcaraz, technical staff from the Food Service and Tourism Training Centre and the Food Service Association, and representatives from the food blog “L’Hospitalet Gastronòmic”.

The winner of the “Most Popular Tapas” category was chosen by the public, who voted for their favourite dish using the ballot boxes provided at the participating establishments.

A prize draw was also made from among the votes cast, and the winning voters received special prizes donated by the companies that collaborated with the tapas tour: namely, the Madanis Hotel, the Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel, Tibidabo Brewing, L’Hospitalet Indoor Pàdel Centre, Diversus Hospitalet and the Municipal Centre for Training and Employment (CEMFO).

A successful 8th edition of A la tardor, platillos!

The 8th edition of the A la tardor, platillos! (Autumn Tapas) tapas tour saw 8,467 dishes served; 80% more than in 2021 (4,700 dishes) and an increase on the pre-pandemic sales levels (6,115 dishes in 2019). Between 1 and 27 November, 25 establishments offered a series of autumnal tapas dishes made from local products and sold at a price of €4.

A la tardor, platillos! is an initiative created by L’Hospitalet City Council’s Department of Tourism and Economic Promotion, and forms part of a series of projects designed to promote and revitalise the local culinary scene and consolidate L’Hospitalet’s status as a destination for food tourism. Other projects in the series include the tapas tours that take place in the city’s neighbourhoods, and Primavera de Tapes (Springtime Tapas).

The initiative also forms part of the City Council’s drive to promote high-quality cuisine and make it accessible to visitors and residents of L’Hospitalet.
